Amazing, beautiful story of one man's journey through a very tumultuous life all rolled into a brown paper bag. What a fantastic trip. So heart warming I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next one.
One Man's River is the story of a spiritual mans quest through life. It is filled with funny, and true, stories with themes that relate to all audiences. The story reads as an autobiography that gives the reader a sense of Chris Scaleras life and then all at once shows you how all of his previous life experiences culminate in a single event that makes sense of his spiritual journey. I loved the book and would recommend it to all others who have been on this lifelong spiritual search.
Great and Easy book to read.. I felt very connected to the book. Wonderful, funny stories that everyone can feel an instant connection. We all go through hard times and this book will teach you in so many ways to just "Let go" and look at life in a different positive way. A great read! Great story. This book got me thinking about a lot of things....
A true rags to riches story in which the riches are what most of us crave which is friendships and clarity. Knowing most of the characters is fun but not required because of the way Chris writes makes them easy to identify with. A very emotional and fun read I highly recommend this book to everyone not just readers looking for spirituality as this book takes you into "a day in the life" and much further. Something I think we all can relate to on all levels. Cool cat this is where it's at. Sam
I really enjoyed this book. I have known Chris for a couple of years, and did not know what to expect from this book. I have to say that it was a great read and an inspiring story. One never knows what happens in other peoples lives and the struggles we all have to endure, but by reading this book, it put some hope into challenging events which have happened in my life, a hope that even though we think life is though at the moment that there are better days to come. Thank you Chris for sharing your story it has given me a sense of we just need to take one day at a time and things do happen for a reason. Well done!!!!!
Everybody has a story and Chris Scalera's is a great one. No matter who you are, you will relate to the emotions and challenges that Chris writes about. His style is that of a storyteller and the pace is quick and addicting. Chris takes tragedy and dysfunction and turns it on its heels, leaving the reader with an upbeat, positive, glass half full state of mind. It's an inspirational read that draws you in immediately and doesn't let you go til the very end. He is a brave writer, and in return, he tells a brave story.
